Auction Office Administrator
Based in Humansdorp | Half-Day Position (with potential to grow full-time)
Kouga Auctions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auction Office Administrator to assist with the daily admin and operations of our growing business. This is a half-day position (±5 hours per day), with the potential to grow into a full-day role as the company expands.
Main Responsibilities
- Administer buyer and seller registrations and auction documents
- Keep accurate records of all stock items and auction lots
- Assist in capturing sales, payments, and invoices on SAGE
- Support the auctioneer with event preparation and client communication
- Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and office correspondence
- Maintain filing systems and digital records
- Assist with organizing auction days and communicating schedules
- Ensure basic office supplies and systems are maintained
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Computer literacy: Excel, Word, Email (proficient in SAGE)
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Ability to multitask in a busy and fast-paced environment
- Trustworthy, reliable, and friendly
- Previous office/admin experience required
- Auction experience and second-hand goods experience will be an advantage
